Mary R. Honour is a freelance stage manager working in the Kansas City area. For the past twenty-three years, Ms. Honour’s work has primarily been with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, where she has stage managed over 65 productions, including 18 musicals and nearly 50 plays. Favorite musicals at the Rep include the world-premieres of Between the Lines and Last Days of Summer, Sweeney Todd, and Sunday in the Park with George, which was performed at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Other favorite Rep productions include The Diary of Anne Frank, An Illiad, Our Town, and Death of a Salesman, among many others. Ms. Honour often spends summers making theatre under the stars at KC Starlight, most recently having stage managed Legally Blonde, Godspell, Hairspray, and Mary Poppins. Other regional credits include LaJolla Playhouse, New Victory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Lyric Opera of KC, and Light Opera Works. Ms, Honour’s creative work also includes event stage management with Eventology, frequently stage managing gala fundraisers for Kansas City’s non-profit organizations. A graduate of Northwestern University, Ms. Honour is committed to a holistic approach to creative work and life balance, prioritizing time with her family and other fulfilling endeavors, such as volunteering in the community and playing violin with the Kansas City Civic Orchestra. Ms. Honour is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
