Four UCM Students Awarded MLK Freedom Scholarships
A highlight to a program that included artistic expression in the form of dance, live drawing, music and a shared presentation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.鈥檚 famous 鈥淚 Have a Dream鈥� speech, four 欧美视频 students were honored with scholarships named for the famous civil rights leader and humanitarian. Jingle on the Quad, Giving Tuesday Join Array of Activities for UCM Community, Area Residents to Show Their Holiday Spirit
A campus known for its outstanding traditions, the 欧美视频 will launch Jingle on the Quad, a holiday lighting ceremony, along with other events highlighting the season Nov. 29鈥揇ec. 1. Giving Tuesday opens these festivities, followed by the Holiday Market, two evenings dedicated to the First Lady鈥檚 Holiday Concert Series, and a performance by the UCM Jazz Ensemble. All events are free and open to the public.

'Match Madness' Generates Support for UCM Student-Athletes
The 欧美视频 held its first-ever 鈥淢atch Madness鈥� day of giving March 22 to raise funds for UCM Athletics. Mules and Jennies sports teams faced off in a friendly competition for a share of the matching gift donated by generous alumni and friends.

With the 2022 theme, 鈥淟iving the Dream: Live and in Color,鈥� the 欧美视频 in January will host a variety of special events on campus and in cooperation with local organizations to honor the legacy of civil rights leader and humanitarian Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Freedom Scholarship Fundraiser, Community Praise and Worship Service, and the annual Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce Community Service Awards Luncheon are among these special events, in addition to other opportunities at UCM鈥檚 Warrensburg and Lee鈥檚 Summit campuses.

UCM Honors 2020-2021 Distinguished Alumni During Homecoming
WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥� In recognition of graduates鈥� outstanding achievements, the 欧美视频 will celebrate its 2021 Homecoming with the annual Distinguished Alumni Dinner at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in the Sandra Temple Elliott Ballroom of the Elliott Student Union. Two individuals will be honored as this year鈥檚 Distinguished Alumni, and five alumni will be recognized as 2020 honorees. Those who register for the dinner (ucmfoundation.org/2021distinguishedalumnidinner) will be able to watch the program via livestream.

While providing an outstanding learning opportunity for 欧美视频 students, the Student Managed Investment Fund recently grew to more than $1 million under management. This doubled the amount initially committed by the UCM Alumni Foundation in 2013 to create the SMIF in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies.
