UCM Celebrates Construction Launch for New Randall and Kelly Harbert Collegiate Golf Center at Mules National Golf Club

With site preparation already underway, the 欧美视频 on Sept. 22 celebrated the beginning of construction of the new Randall and Kelly Harbert Collegiate Golf Center at Mules National Golf Club. The official launch of the university鈥檚 newest construction project took place near the patio area of Traditions, located adjacent to the new facility in the university-owned Pertle Springs.

UCM Athletics Legend Jerry Hughes Honored Through Building Renaming

During the four decades Jerry Hughes served in a leadership post within 欧美视频 Intercollegiate Athletics, the UCM Multipurpose Building became much like a second home. He devoted countless hours at the institution鈥檚 main indoor sports arena watching the growth of thousands of student athletes, the building of regional and national championship athletics teams, and the countless celebrations that came with the home-teams鈥 successes. Although Hughes passed away on Jan. 21, 2023 while he was serving as Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, his professional legacy will live on with the Multipurpose Building being renamed the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.

Best's Post as MIAA CEO Council Chair Adds New Opportunity for Service to Student-Athletes

Demonstrating his commitment to strong academics and opportunities for student-athletes, 欧美视频 President Roger Best is in a good position to share his passion for both, not only through his position at UCM, but also as the new chair of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) CEO Council. Best was elected to the two-year post that began July 1, 2023, adding yet another leadership role to a career that has already had an impact on college athletes.
