The athletics facility on the 欧美视频 campus that has been described by the friends and family of longtime athletic director Jerry Hughes鈥� as his second home will now forever remind visitors of his impact on the campus community and beyond following a renaming ceremony on Feb. 17 that posthumously honored Hughes and his service to UCM.

The 欧美视频 Athletics "Literacy Team" has been named one of 25 finalists for the 2024 NCAA Division II Award of Excellence, the NCAA announced Friday, Jan. 5. The Award of Excellence honors initiatives during the past year that exemplify the Division II philosophy, community engagement and student-athlete leadership. UCM was one of eight finalists to earn an at-large selection for submitting a strong nomination that was not chosen as the finalist for their conference.

Following his recent retirement from collegiate coaching, Kim Anderson is returning to the same institution where he once led a team to an NCAA Division II National Championship, but this time he鈥檚 putting his knowledge of athletics to work in a new role. The Mules all-time winningest head basketball coach has been named Special Advisor to the President on the National State of Intercollegiate Athletics, with his part-time duties to begin Sept. 16.
