Among Many Actions, UCM Governing Board Sets Tuition, Room and Board, Other Fees for FY 2025

In its March plenary session, the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Governors approved increases in student instructional tuition and general fees for academic year 2025 that were below the national rate of inflation. These were among many actions taken during the meeting, including honoring three members of the UCM community.

UCM Board Acts on FY23 Budget, Health Care Coverage, Building Renovations

When the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Governors met on April 21, it approved several action items on the agenda that included the award of a contract for partial renovation of the W.C. Morris Science Building, the purchase of a new flight simulator for jet pilot training, and the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 operating budget. It also approved a recommendation to continue employee medical coverage with its current provider, effective for the year beginning Jan. 1, 2023.

Board Authorizes Health Insurance Renewal, Building Demolition, Upgrades

WARRENSBURG, MO – The renewal of employee health insurance and facility projects that relate to the Fraternity Complex, Nattinger-Bradshaw Hall, Wood Hall, and the W.C. Morris Science Building were approved by the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Governors when it met in plenary session Aug. 19.

UCM Plans to Transition from Charter School Sponsorship By June 2022

After becoming one of the state’s pioneering higher education institutions in the sponsorship of charter schools, the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ has announced its role as charter school sponsor will be coming to an end effective by June 30, 2022. While taking this step, UCM will continue to work with all seven charter schools that it currently sponsors as they transition to new sponsors.

In an effort to provide greater clarity in pricing and flexibility for students by making online and in-person tuition rates more equitable, the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ’s Board of Governors on March 26 approved instructional tuition and general fees, effective for fall 2021.

Bias, Carter Receive UCM Learning to a Greater Degree Awards

Setting an example for others to emulate, Ken Bias professor and coordinator of the physical education program, and Richard (Joey) Carter, a junior music education major from Blue Springs, Missouri, were recognized as recipients of the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ’s Learning to a Greater Degree Award when the Board of Governors met on campus Oct. 22.

UCM Board Adopts Plan for Dealing with Revenue Shortfall, Approves Health Care Coverage Provider during June Plenary Session

After previously adopting a multiyear budget plan to address a significant revenue shortfall, the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Governors has approved additional budget measures that include a staff furlough plan and a temporary one-year percentage salary reduction for faculty and president’s council members during Fiscal Year 2021.
