Beats and Jams: Digital Music Creators is one of several in-person summer and online
STEAM courses available to young people through a partnership between the University
of Central Missouri and Black Rocket online learning company.
The 欧美视频 is partnering with Black Rocket online learning
company to offer both in-person and online STEAM (science, technology, engineering,
arts and mathematics) summer camps for children from age 6 to 14. The in-person courses
are new this year with three-hours classes offered weekly via either morning or afternoon
sessions June 26 through July 28 at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee鈥檚 Summit.
The computer science summer camps include topics such as video game design and animation,
programming, coding and YouTube content creation.
In-person courses, available for $200 each, will include:
- 1 to 4 p.m. July 17-21 (ages 8-11)
- 9 a.m. to noon July 10-14 (ages 8-11)
- 9 a.m. to noon July 17-21 (ages 6-8)
- 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. July 24-28 (ages 8-11 and 11-14)
- 1 to 4 p.m. June 26-30 (ages 8-11)
- 1 to 4 p.m. July 10-14 (ages 11-14)
- 9 a.m. to noon June 26-30 (ages 6-8).
Online courses are available June 5 through Aug. 25 via morning and afternoon sessions.
Each online class lasts two hours and 30 minutes. Cost per course is $169 with courses
offered during Fourth of July week at $135.
The online offerings feature topics such as Mobile App Development, JavaScript, Minecraft,
Pokemon, Coding, ROBLOX Makers, YouTube Content Creators, 3D Game Design, Programmers,
Digital Music Creators, Video Game Creation and Interactive Storytelling.
UCM鈥檚 STEAM-based offerings are designed to educate young people in an engaging and
fun environment through interactive activities, hands-on learning and classroom instruction.
