WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥 To accommodate an increasing number of new graduates and to provide
a quality celebration experience, the 欧美视频 will utilize
the same commencement format for spring 2016 that was initiated for the first time
in spring 2015. It will feature two ceremonies on Friday, May 6, followed by three
ceremonies Saturday, May 7 in the Multipurpose Building.
鈥淐ommencement is a very special event for students and their families, so it is important
for us to consider where the largest participation will be and plan our ceremonies
accordingly. This helps to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone involved,鈥
said Deborah Curtis, provost 鈥揷hief learning officer at UCM.
Instead of three ceremonies, which are utilized during the fall commencement, spring
2016 begins with the graduate ceremony for students in the College of Health, Science,
and Technology at 2:30 p.m., followed by the undergraduate ceremony for graduates
in the same college at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday commencement exercises begin at 9 a.m. with the graduate and undergraduate
ceremony for new graduates in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
and for students who are obtaining General Studies degrees. The College of Education鈥檚
ceremony for graduate students, undergraduates and graduates of the THRIVE program
begins at noon, and the graduation ceremony for graduate and undergraduate degree
candidates in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies begins at 3
p.m.
