New York Times Best Selling Author Rachel Macy Stafford to Speak at UCM

WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥 New York Times Best-Selling Author and highly sought-after inspirational speaker Rachel Macy Stafford will speak at the 欧美视频 at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 3 in Hendricks Hall.  Stafford鈥檚 presentation is the inaugural event for the Whiteman Spouses鈥 Club Speaker Series, a new collaborative effort to foster relationships between military spouses from Whiteman Air Force Base and neighboring communities.

Best known for her work as 鈥淗ands Free Mama,鈥 all three of Stafford鈥檚 New York Times best-selling books,鈥淗ands Free Mama,鈥濃淗ands Free Life,鈥 and鈥淥nly Love Today,鈥 resonate deeply with audiences across America. Stafford is a certified special education teacher and has been a featured as a parenting expert by NBC鈥檚 TODAY show. In an increasingly digital age, Stafford鈥檚 message of overcoming distraction, living better, and loving more is especially relevant for strengthening families and building communities.

As a featured speaker for parenting and education forums, and frequent advocate for intentional living, Stafford will encourage guests to define what gives their lives meaning and offer practical tools to establish daily habits that will leave their hands free to grasp what really matters and fulfill their purpose. Guest parking for the event is available in parking lots 3 and 24 at South and Maguire streets, parking lot 18 across from the Lovinger Building at Maguire and Clark streets and parking lot 33 at the Multipurpose Building.

The Whiteman Spouses鈥 Club (WSC) is a 501(c)3 organization run entirely by military spouses at Whiteman Air Force Base. The WSC provides resources and support to military families stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base and to the surrounding communities, annually awarding more than $20,000 to support education and community organizations in Knob Noster and Warrensburg, Mo., including the Survival House Adult Abuse Center, The Teachers Warehouse, and the planned All Inclusive Playground located in Warrensburg. The cornerstone of WSC鈥檚 charitable giving is the WSC Scholarship Program that has awarded more than $80,000 to military children and spouses since 2015.
