WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥 One of the nation鈥檚 most popular sources for students to seek information
that will help them in deciding which college or university best suits their education
goals, has ranked the 欧美视频 among 2020 Best Graduate Schools for
a part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
The rankings were released this week by U.S. News & World Report in its online edition.
A reflection of the commitment of the faculty and staff in UCM鈥檚 Adrian and Margaret
Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies, the rankings are based on data
collected from 287 MBA programs out of 323 such programs nationwide that are accredited
by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

U.S. News & World Report notes that 鈥減art-time business programs play a vital role
for working people who can鈥檛 go to school full time for family or financial reasons.鈥
U.S. News鈥 part-time MBA rankings are based on five factors. These assessment criteria
and their weight in the overall scoring process are as follows:
- Average peer assessment score (50 percent).
- Average GMAT score and average GRE quantitative verbal and analytical writing scores
of part-time MBA students who entered in fall 2018 (15 percent).
- Average grade point average of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2018 (12.5
percent).
- Number of years of work experience of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2018,
with more experience scoring higher in the rankings (10 percent).
- Percentage of the business school鈥檚 fall 2018 total full-time and part-time MBA enrollment
that is in the part-time MBA program, with a higher percentage that is part-time scoring
higher in the rankings (12.5 percent).
Part-time programs had to have at least 20 students enrolled part time to qualify
for the rankings.
Information released by U.S. News & World Report follows in January that listed UCM
as having a Best Online MBA program. In that report, UCM climbed from being unranked
two years ago to 126th in the nation.
Ginger Killian, MBA director in the Harmon College, stressed the work of Harmon College
faculty as a key factor in making these two lists. Harmon College leadership and MBA
faculty have worked to make program revisions that have led to innovative concentrations
that combine quality, flexibility and affordability to meet the needs of tomorrow鈥檚
employers while preparing students for managerial roles in business and industry.
