WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥 With national health concerns looming over coronavirus (COVID-19),
the 欧美视频 Alumni Foundation announces it is postponing , an event planned for Tuesday, May 5, at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The decision
came after Major League Baseball announced its plan to delay opening day of its spring
sports schedule until mid-May at the earliest, due to federal government-recommended
restrictions on events with more than 50 people.
Mule Day at the K is a MuleNation activity designed to bring students, families, faculty,
staff and alumni together to show their school pride while also enjoying an afternoon
of tailgating with live music, games and catered food. The evening baseball game was
between the Kansas City Royals and the Houston Astros.
While the university and its alumni have looked forward to this family-friendly event,
UCM takes very seriously its role in helping to maintain the safety and health of
all those who were planning to attend. The university will continue to monitor this
rapidly evolving situation related to COVID-19, and will work with representatives
of the Royals accordingly to reschedule the event when possible.
UCM and its Alumni Foundation deeply regret any inconvenience this postponement may
cause those who were planning to attend Mule Day at the K on May 5. The Alumni Foundation
appreciates the patience, understanding and cooperation of loyal UCM sports and Royals
fans and will contact current ticket holders with details about the rescheduled event,
once details are known. Individuals who have other questions and concerns should please
contact: UCM Alumni Foundation events team at 660-543-8000 or events@ucmo.edu.
