ŷƵ Theatre and Dance will present 'Funny…?' A Night of
Studio Theatre One-Acts on Wednesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 11. Studio Theatre
One-Acts are student produced and student directed short plays. The virtual “doors”
open at 7:15 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. This production will steam virtually
via YouTube. Admission to view the production is free.
The evening begins with 'CRABS(DOT)COM' written by Rachel Carnes, directed by Ashlyn
Reece, with technical direction by Demetrius Hampton. The next show of the evening
is 'The Window' written by Tristen Canfield, directed by Tony Smith with technical
direction by Demetrius Hampton. Next is 'The Job Delusion: Or 5 Signs God is Gaslighting
You' written by Leroy Hood, directed by Demetrius Hampton with technical direction
provided by Ally Fields. The next show of the evening is 'The Button Pushers' by Ruben
Carajal, directed by Jaggard Williams with technical direction by Ally Fields. Finishing
out the 'Funny…?' evening is 'She’s Fabulous' by Jack Neary, directed by Ally Fields
with technical direction by Demetrius Hampton.
The casts for the One-Act plays include: 'CRABS(DOT)COM:' Alyce Wilson as Cheryl and
Luke Englert as Marty. 'The Window:' Emily Layt as Cat and TiJhana Hines-Bronson as
Fish. 'The Job Delusion: Or 5 Signs God is Gaslighting You:' Thomas Clark as Job,
Isabella Bryn-Johnson as Counselor, and Logan Mathes as God. 'The Button Pushers:'
Ryan Foster as Mr. X, Jace Nielsen as Ed Glandis, and Lacy Goettling as Dana Glandis.
'She’s Fabulous:' Katie Marshall as Clarice and Holden Childress as Bethel. Stephanie
Heathcock serves as the evening’s Stage Manager. Mekdelawit Keller will serve as the
Assistant Stage Manager for the evening.
