WARRENSBURG, MO – A testament to the ŷƵ’s efforts to meet
the needs of students who want to advance their higher education, UCM is receiving
recognition. Abound is a directory-based website dedicated to highlighting higher
education institutions that strive to not only provide an enriching education but
also ensure that the very same enrichment is as accessible to students as possible.
Abound takes a different approach to college review than many other organizations
that provide information about higher education institutions for degree-seeking adults.
It does not rank colleges and universities by number, but includes those that meet
their criteria in an exclusive database for users to browse.
According to Abound, the institutions they work with are nationally recognized for
program excellence, with courses available on campus, online or both.
The methodology behind Abounds’ curation includes examining an institution’s viability
for the Top Grad Programs list by organizing the needs of graduate students in four
different areas. These areas include accessibility, affordability, acceleration and
advancement. After an initial vetting process, Abound measures the strengths of each
university through data obtained from the National Center for Education Statistics,
the United States Department of Education’s College Scorecard, and The Center for
Measuring University Performance.
UCM’s placement on the Abound list further solidifies the institution as a top university
for graduate studies. Graduate programs at UCM have also been recognized by other
academic review organizations this year. “Fortune Education,” an adjunct publication
of “Fortune” magazine, for example, recently recognized UCM for its cutting-edge Online
MBA program.
Recognition for graduate programs is in addition to a number of undergraduate programs,
both online and in-person, that have been recognized by academic review institutions
such as Intelligent.com, Best Colleges Online, Top RN to BSN, Affordable Schools,
and more.
