While celebrating its 150th year, the 欧美视频 will also recognize
its 2021 fall graduates during commencement exercises Dec. 10-11.
WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥 With more than 900 students expected to don their caps and gowns,
the 欧美视频 will celebrate its 2021 Fall Commencement exercises
with four ceremonies the weekend of Dec. 10-11. Graduates will not only become members
of the Class of 2021 but also have the honor of being part of the 150-year class as
UCM continues to celebrate its sesquicentennial.
All commencement exercises take place in the Multipurpose Building, and academic degrees
will be conferred by President Roger Best. The commencement exercises include 265
graduate students and 547 undergraduates who have met their fall 2021 graduation requirements
and are eligible to be recognized during this weekend's ceremonies. Another 116 individuals
who plan to participate met requirements to walk in previous ceremonies, but chose
to be part of these these graduation events.
For all those attending, please note that while the university continues to have a
mask requirement in all of its indoor facilities, this does not include the Multipurpose
Building. To help promote a healthy environment, individuals attending commencement
exercises are strongly encouraged to wear masks while inside the arena.
Commencement weekend begins with the ceremony for graduate students at 5 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 10. New graduates of the of the College of Health, Science and Technology School
of Computer Science and Mathematics will receive Master of Science in Cybersecurity
and Information Assurance and Master of Science in Mathematics degrees during this
event.
Three ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 11 include the 10 a.m. exercises for candidates
seeking graduate degrees from within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social
Sciences; College of Education; Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies;
and College of Health, Science and Technology, with the exception of the School of
Computer Science and Mathematics.
The remaining ceremonies on Saturday afternoon are for candidates seeking baccalaureate
degrees. This includes 1:30 p.m. commencement exercises for the College of Education,
Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies, and General Studies, and the
5 p.m. ceremony for graduates of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
and the College of Health, Science and Technology.
