Purpose

The 欧美视频 desires to recognize achievements and accomplishments of its students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends in meaningful ways whenever possible.

Policy

The 欧美视频 may offer the following types of recognition to students, faculty, staff, alumni and university friends:

A. Honorary Doctorates which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D.)
  • Doctor of Laws (LL.D.)
  • Doctor of Letters (Litt.D.)
  • Doctor of Pedagogy (Ped.D.)
  • Doctor of Science (Sc. D.)

Honorary doctorates may be awarded to persons who have amassed outstanding achievements in their fields, gained the respect of their peers and by virtue of their endeavors bring honor to the university.

B. Distinguished Service Awards which will be bestowed upon individuals or groups who have rendered exemplary and extended service to the human race, society and/or the university. Recipients of the Distinguished Service Award must be a person or organization of such integrity, stature, demonstrated ability and renown that the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the university will take pride and will be inspired by his or her recognition.

C. Posthumous honorary degrees which may be bestowed upon UCM students who die while enrolled in UCM coursework.

Procedure

The president of the university has the responsibility to establish a procedure that will result in recommendations for awards and honorary degrees to be submitted by the president to the Board of Governors for approval. The Board of Governors has the right to waive portions of the above policy should circumstances dictate special consideration.
