Bereavement leave is up to three days of paid time off provided to employees who wish to take time off due to the death of a loved one. The definition of loved one is left to the discretion of the employee and the supervisor. The employee is required to notify their supervisor immediately when the need for bereavement leave arises. This leave is available during probationary periods.
Bereavement leave may be combined with personal leave or vacation leave if the three days provided by 欧美视频 are not sufficient. If paid leave time is not available, leave without pay may be requested. The time for bereavement does not have to be taken as consecutive days off. However, the leave days must be taken within ten calendar days of the date of loss of the loved one.
Absence must be recorded in the employee's electronic time sheet and submitted to the supervisor for approval.
