Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships

Apply for Multiple Scholarships with a Single Online Application

Transfer scholarships are available to incoming transfer students who have never attended UCM. 

UCM Scholarship Finder makes it easy to find and apply for UCM Alumni Foundation scholarships. Simply fill out a single application that is automatically submitted toward all eligible scholarships! Scholarship applications for the 2022-2023 academic year will be available from Sept. 1, 2021 through Feb. 1, 2022. Applications for the 2023-2024 academic year will be available from Aug. 1, 2022 through Feb. 1, 2023. 

Transfer Students: Entering Spring or Summer 2020

When you are admitted to UCM as a transfer student you will automatically be considered for the scholarships below after submitting the UCM Application for Admission, application fee, and an official transcript from each college/university attended. No other application is necessary. Completing the application for admission process early is strongly encouraged. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail at their home address.

Transfer Student Scholarship (3.5-4.0 GPA)

Value: $1,000 per semester

Eligibility: To be considered, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Regularly-admitted to UCM
  • Incoming undergraduate transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student the Spring, Summer or Fall 2018 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 24 earned post-high school, college level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.50 or higher on all post-high school, college level classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or 
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters.

Please Note: Final Scholarship awards are based on the student's cumulative GPA (from the completion of a minimum of 24 post-high school college-level credit hours) following the Fall 2019 semester for Spring 2020 admits or Spring 2020 semester for Summer or Fall 2020 admits. The UCM Admissions Office must receive final official transcripts before students can be fully awarded a scholarship and have it paid on their University account. If transferring to UCM Spring 2020, transcripts including all grades earned through Fall 2019 must be on file with the UCM Admissions Office no later than January 31, 2020. If transferring to UCM Summer or Fall 2020, transcripts including all grades earned through Spring 2020 must be on file with the UCM Admissions Office no later than August 31, 2020.

Renewability: The Transfer Student Scholarship may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

  • Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
  • Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
  • Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of each academic year.

Transfer Student Scholarship (3.0-3.49 GPA)

Value: $500 per semester

Eligibility: To be considered, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Regularly-admitted to UCM
  • Incoming undergraduate transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student the Spring , Summer or Fall 2020 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 24 earned post-high school, college level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.0-3.49 on all post-high school, college level classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Value: At 欧美视频, non-Missouri residents are charged the in-state tuition rate plus a non-resident fee. The Midwest Student Exchange Program will provide 50% of the non-resident portion of the fees of qualifying students. Students are responsible for the remaining 50% of the non-resident portion of the fees plus the in-state tuition rate.

Eligibility Criteria for Transfer Students: To be considered, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Regularly-admitted to UCM,
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident,
  • Incoming undergraduate 2-year or 4-year college/university transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student the Spring, Summer of Fall 2020 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 24 earned post-high school, college-level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.50 or higher on all post-high school, college-level classes completed through the:
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester, or
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters
  • Legal resident of one of the following participating states: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio or Wisconsin

Recipients of the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship, Second Generation Grant for Transfers, Non-Resident Fee Credit, Non-Resident Scholar Award, non-resident fee portion of the UCM Educational Development Program, or other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees may not also benefit from the Midwest Student Exchange Program.

Renewability for Transfer Students: Transfer students may benefit from the Midwest Student Exchange Program for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

  • Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
  • Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
  • Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of each academic year, and
  • Maintains legal residency in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio or Wisconsin.

Second-Generation Grant (Transfers)

Value: Covers up to $1,000 per semester of non-resident fees

Eligibility Criteria for Transfer Students: To be considered, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Regularly-admitted (not on academic probation) to UCM,
  • Incoming undergraduate 2-year or 4-year college/university transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • Non-resident of Missouri, and
  • Child/grandchild or step-child/step-grandchild of an individual who earned a degree (bachelors, masters, education specialist, or cooperative doctorate) from University of Central Missouri. 

Recipients of the Second Generation Grant for Transfers may not also benefit from the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship, Non-Resident Fee Credit, Midwest Student Exchange Program, Non-Resident Scholar Award, non-resident fee portion of the UCM Educational Development Program, or other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

A non-resident fee total will appear on the UCM account of Second Generation Grant for Transfers recipients. The Second Generation Grant for Transfers will cover up to $1000 per semester of the non-resident portion of tuition charges.

Renewability for Transfer Students: The Second Generation Grant for Transfers may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

  • Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
  • Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
  • Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.0 upon completion of each academic year, and
  • Maintains legal residence status as a non-Missouri resident

UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship

 

Value: 100% of non-resident fees

Eligibility: Regularly-admitted (not on academic probation) undergraduate students whose permanent legal residence is located in one of the following states: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee.

Recipients of the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship may not also receive the Second Generation Grant, Non-Resident Fee Credit, Midwest Student Exchange Program, Non-Resident Scholar Award, non-resident fee portion of the UCM Educational Development Program, or other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

A credit equal to the non-resident portion of tuition fees will appear on the UCM account of UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship recipients.

Renewability: Automatically renewed for students who maintain legal residence in one of the following states and aren't recipients of other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee.

Transfer Students: Entering Fall 2020

When you are admitted to UCM as a transfer student you will automatically be considered for the scholarships below after submitting the UCM Application for Admission, application fee, and an official transcript from each college/university attended.   • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student in the Fall 2020 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 24 earned post-high school, college level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Fall 2020 semester, or
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester.
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.30 - 3.49 on all post-high school, college level classes completed through the:

  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student in the Fall 2019 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 24 earned post-high school, college level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Fall 2020 semester, or
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester.
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.0 - 3.29 on all post-high school, college level classes completed through the:

  • Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.0 upon completion of each academic year.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Value: $750 per semester

Eligibility: To be considered, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Must provide proof of PTK membership
  • Regularly-admitted to UCM
  • Incoming undergraduate transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
  • Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student in the Fall 2020 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
  • At least 42 earned post-high school, college level credit hours for all classes completed through the:
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Fall 2020 semester, or
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester.
  • Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.5 or higher on all post-high school, college level classes completed through the:
    >Spring 2020 semester if transferring to UCM the Fall 2020 semester, or 
    >Fall 2019 semester if transferring to UCM the Spring 2020 semester.

  • Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
  • Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of each academic year.

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Your high school transcript and the information you provide on University of Central Missouri's application for admission are reviewed to determine your eligibility for freshman academic scholarships. Students must submit the online scholarship application to be considered for UCM鈥檚 Missouri Boys State/Girls State Scholarship and .

What do I do if I receive a scholarship check?

What if I improve my High School GPA or ACT score? (Incoming Freshmen)

Your scholarship eligibility will be reconsidered if your 7th semester high school cumulative gpa is higher than your 6th semester and/or your ACT composite score improves on or before the April national ACT test. Please note: Scholarship reconsideration is contingent upon receipt of your official 7th semester high school transcript and/or the receipt of your official ACT scores by the Office of Admissions, 欧美视频, Ward Edwards 1401, Warrensburg, MO 64093.

What if I lose my UCM scholarship due to ineligibility?

Certain UCM renewable scholarships may be reinstated. To be considered for reinstatement, earn the required grade-point average and maintain status as a full-time (at least 12 undergraduate credit hours ) UCM undergraduate student each semester. See reinstatement information under "Current Students" for more details.

Are scholarships available for transfer students?

Students transferring from an accredited 4-year or 2-year, private or public college or university may be considered for a scholarship.

Do I have to be a full-time student to receive a UCM scholarship?

Most of the UCM scholarships require full-time enrollment (earning a minimum of twelve undergraduate hours per semester at UCM). However, if otherwise eligible, you may be enrolled in less than twelve hours and receive a proportional amount of the award value under the following conditions:

Can my conduct affect my UCM scholarship eligibility?

 Scholarships may be reduced or canceled if the recipient fraudulently misrepresents any information or engages in serious misconduct warranting substantial disciplinary penalty.

Submitting Scholarship Checks to UCM

If you are the recipient of a scholarships sponsored by a civic organization, employer, church, etc., please instruct the sponsor to make the scholarship check payable to 欧美视频 and forward it to:

If the sponsor provides you with the scholarship check:

  1. Endorse the check if it is made payable to you.
  2. Attach the check to a photocopy of the award letter and any supporting documents.
  3. Bring the check and photocopy documentation to Freshman Orientation and Enrollment or mail/deliver them to the Student Financial Services Office.

Caution: If the scholarship check is made payable only to you, we suggest you deliver the check to the Student Financial Services Office (1100 Ward Edwards) and endorse it immediately before you hand it to the cashier.

When we receive your scholarship check, we will credit your UCM student account. The amount of the scholarship check will be divided evenly between the Fall and Spring semesters unless otherwise instructed in writing by the scholarship sponsor.

If the scholarship sponsor requests verification of your enrollment at UCM:

1. Provide the scholarship sponsor with a copy of your class schedule which you can print from after you attend Freshman Orientation and Enrollment.

OR

2. If the sponsor cannot accept a copy of your class schedule, you can request an enrollment verification certificate by calling the UCM Office of the Registrar at (660) 543-4900, option 3 (not option 2) after you attend Freshman Orientation and Enrollment.
