UCM in Warrensburg and Lee's Summit Conduct Tornado Drill March 6

The Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ in Warrensburg and UCM-Lee’s Summit will participate in a statewide tornado drill at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6. This drill is expected to last about 15 minutes and is designed to orient faculty, staff, and students in appropriate measures to take during a real tornadic event.

UCM Faculty Receive Promotion, Tenure for Academic Year 2018-19

Nineteen Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ faculty members were recently approved for promotion and tenure to associate professor, eight for promotion to professor, and one promotion to associate professor and one for tenure only. Names of these individuals and their achievements at UCM were released this week by Interim Provost-Chief Learning Officer Mike Godard.

Governor's FY19 Budget Recommendations Include 7.72 Percent Reduction in Funding for Public Universities

In a press conference Monday, Jan. 22, Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced his Fiscal Year 2019 budget recommendations calling for across-the-board cuts of 7.72 in gross appropriations for post-secondary education. His recommendation was part of a total reduction for higher education of $62.8 million.

Board Approves Re-Assignment of Individuals in Two Key Leadership Roles

In its closed session Friday, Nov. 17, the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Governors approved two personnel actions that involve changes in duties for two key university administrators. These are strategic appointments designed to provide continuity as one administrator prepares to begin a new position elsewhere, while also helping the university through current and future budget planning amidst many funding challenges.
